My Story
Originally from Southern California, I bring a plethora of experiences to the acupuncture table. Before moving to Minnesota in '91, I worked as a designer/drafter in the petrochemical industry in California and the Southwest with a specialization in substructure research. After having children, I followed them to school and worked as a kindergarten assistant and substitute teacher. As my children grew older, I ran a sports league, a cleaning company, and worked for the Minnesota Youth Symphonies in administration. I also volunteered in many school, Girl Scout, and animal related activities.

The beginning of my interest in medicine came about after I became quite ill following an autumn camping trip with my son's 4th grade class. A doctor dismissed it as multiple cold viruses, but from 4 months of hard coughing, lost voice, pain, digestive upset, followed by severe weight loss and fatigue, I learned that it was whooping cough which triggered celiac disease. Doing my own research, I discovered a path of healing. It was then that I knew I wanted to help others with their health as well.
I was drawn to study acupuncture and Chinese medicine at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, and had wonderful experiences treating patients in clinical and hospital settings such as Bloomington Clinic, De Rusha Clinic, Human Performance Center, Integrative Clinic of Minnesota, University of Minnesota Fairview Riverside, Journey Center, and Masonic Children's Hospital.

I am excited to start the first Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture practice in Buffalo, MN! My family spent many wonderful years visiting the family hobby farm in Buffalo along the north fork of the Crow River and it is a pleasure to be back in area.
